Long-term bonds don’t yield enough for retired investors and investors may experience capital losses if interest rates start to creep up. In this environment the best alternative for investors is high dividend stocks. Below we prepared a list of 10 companies that have fat dividends and have low P/E ratios. All companies on this list have a market capitalization above $4 billion, P/E ratio lower than 15 and dividend yield of at least 5%.

1- AT&T, Inc. (T): AT&T is a provider of telecommunications services in the United States and worldwide. T recently traded at $27.8 and has a 6.2% dividend yield. T gained 3% during the past 12 months. The stock has a market cap of $164.4 billion, P/E ratio of 8.4 and Total Debt/Equity ratio of 0.58.

2- Atlantic Power Corporation (AT): Atlantic Power Corporation owns and operates a diverse fleet of power generation and infrastructure assets in the United States. AT recently traded at $14.2 and has a 7.9% dividend yield. AT gained 11.7% during the past 12 months. The stock has a market cap of $4.8 billion, P/E ratio of 5.3 and Total Debt/Equity ratio of 0.23.

3- Cincinnati Financial Corp. (CINF): Cincinnati Financial Corporation is engaged in property casualty insurance marketed through independent insurance agents in 39 states.
